A series of features have been used to pop out extra spaces and light penetrations to avoid the long narrow corridor that a narrow block faces, such as the double ceiling height in the lounge room which also has a step down for a modern semi sunken feel, a pop out external kitchen alcove adjacent to the main kitchen to both break the long straight wall and to create a light well to the centre of the house – skylights and louvers windows throughout.
